This collaboration with Youli Tattoo, with tattoo artist and designer Teacher Lele personally handling the manuscript design, to launch the Japanese-style "Ebisu-themed Cigar Box" represents a bold attempt at cross-border integration of mechanical industrial heritage and traditional Japanese aesthetics. Continuing the previous concept of innovatively reshaping classic elements, the core theme of this work is Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japan. As the god of commerce and fishing, Ebisu symbolizes wealth and good fortune, and his iconic elements such as sea bream and fishing rods are highly recognizable in Japanese culture.

In terms of design, Teacher Lele fully demonstrates his exquisite control over lines and patterns in tattoo art. The image of Ebisu, as well as patterns of waves and auspicious clouds in the traditional Japanese ukiyo-e style, are outlined on the surface of the cigar box with delicate and smooth lines. Unlike the simple appearance of conventional cigar boxes, we endow this cigar box with storytelling and decorative features through the unique visual language of tattoo art. Regarding the material, solid wood with excellent sturdiness and texture is selected as the base, and the exterior is treated with a baking paint process, ensuring that the patterns are vivid in color and do not fade over time. This not only guarantees the practicality and stability of the cigar box for storing cigars but also highlights the three-dimensional effect of the patterns through the luster of the paint, perfectly combining traditional Japanese art with modern craftsmanship.

This cigar box is not only a practical container for cigars but also a handicraft that carries the charm of Japanese culture and tattoo art. It breaks down the boundaries between different art fields. Just as tattoos are art on the body, this cigar box becomes art on the table, providing users with a unique collection and usage experience. It also offers a new approach and direction for cross-border art collaborations.
