Inspiration and Shape
Taking ancient Roman columns as the prototype, the column body replicates Doric flutes with bold and symmetrical lines; the top of the column simplifies Corinthian acanthus patterns, and the matte sterling silver shows the thickness of stone materials. A ruby is inlaid in the center of the column top, which looks luxurious and vivid under light and adds charm to the tough lines.
Materials and Craftsmanship
Made of 925 sterling silver through integral forging, it is hand-polished to retain forging traces, showing a warm and time-honored feel. The ruby is fixed with a claw setting, and the metal claws blend with the patterns on the column top, ensuring stability without damaging the overall look. Silver and gemstones complement each other with hardness and softness.
Function and Significance
It fits the curvature of the pipe bowl, enabling even tamping. The sterling silver has low thermal conductivity to prevent scalding. It condenses the aesthetics of ancient Roman architecture: the ruby symbolizes nobility and enthusiasm, while the sterling silver represents tenacity and purity, making this practical tool a carrier of taste and feelings.
